Countries in West and Central Africa are gathering in Dakar to build momentum on ending child marriage both in the region and globally. When girls have a childhood and delay marriage and childbirth, a positive cycle ensues. They continue and complete their education. They secure sustainable employment. And they have fewer, healthier children. 

At the event, research on child marriage and girls' education, funded in part by the Global Partnership for Education and CIFF and carried out by the World Bank, will be presented
