Indicative Allocations

Indicative Allocations

The Global Partnership has released its indicative allocations for education plan implementation grants for the period of 2012-2014.

Developing country partners are eligible to apply for financial support from the Global Partnership for Education Fund to implement their education plans. Indicative allocations inform both recipient developing countries and donors of grant resources available based on transparent criteria developed in the Needs and Performance Framework (NPF). The NPF is a tool used to prioritize country allocation requests and reflect the Global Partnership’s policy priorities:

  • Support to fragile states
  • Girls' education, and
  • Quality of education and learning outcomes

The amounts are indicative only. All allocations for education plan implementation grants are subject to a successful application, approval by the Board of Directors and availability of resources. Indicative allocations are reviewed on an annual basis and may be adjusted. All eligible countries are included on the list below with the following exceptions:

  • Countries in their first year of grant implementation and with grant closing dates in 2013 or 2014;
  • Countries with grants under implementation for more than one year, but with very low disbursement rates;
  • Countries that received allocations in December 2011.
