October 28, 2016 - The Global Partnership for Education Secretariat approved the following grant:

US$199,605 for Chad to develop a new education program

Description: The program development grant will support Chad’s preparation of a new implementation grant request to GPE.

The grant will finance the collaboration between UNICEF, a key partner of the Global Partnership for Education, the Government of Chad and development partners in the preparation of a program to be implemented in support of the country’s new ten year education strategy. UNICEF has been nominated by the local education group to manage the grant on behalf of the Government of Chad.
