February 8, 2017 - The Global Partnership for Education Secretariat approved the following grant:

US$199,800 for The Gambia to develop a new education program

Description: The program development grant will help The Gambia develop the new GPE program, conduct stakeholders consultations, as well as prepare the project appraisal document, legal agreements and results framework.

The program will finance the collaboration between the World Bank, a key partner of the Global Partnership for Education, and the Government of The Gambia. The World Bank has been nominated by the local education group to manage the grant on behalf of the Government of The Gambia.
