Senegal launched Local Education Group to pave way for SDG 4

With GPE in attendance, 80 national education actors gathered with development partners and representatives from 12 ministries at the two-day event sponsored by UNESCO to launch Senegal's Local Education Group (LEG), and discuss updates to the Education Sector Plan (PAQUET). The meeting was also an opportunity to collectively reflect on the evaluation of the first phase of the PAQUET as a basis for ensuing policy inspired by the SDG4-Education 2030 agenda. The LEG will facilitate inclusive participation in the implementation and monitoring of the education sector plan, and prepare the country for the changing landscape of education and development.
