November 9, 2016 - The Global Partnership for Education Secretariat approved the following grant:

US$200,000 for Liberia to develop a new education program

Description: The program development grant will help Liberia develop the new GPE program, conduct economic and financial analyses, and set up a monitoring and evaluation framework.

The program will finance the collaboration between the World Bank, a key partner of the Global Partnership for Education, and the Government of Liberia. The World Bank has been nominated by the local education group to manage the grant on behalf of the Government of Liberia.
