As part of the HLF-4, the Global Partnership for Education, Australia, Indonesia, UNICEF and the World Bank will be holding an ‘Effective Aid for Education’ side event on 30 November 2011 in Busan, Republic of Korea. The side event will bring together a multi-stakeholder group to share and discuss lessons learned on how development assistance can be effectively delivered in the education sector. It will provide a forum to highlight the partnership approaches that will be necessary to accelerate progress on the Millennium Development Goals and the Education for All Goals, and explore future opportunities and challenges for effective aid to the education sector. An Education Statement of Principles for aid effectiveness in the sector will form the outcome of the Busan side event.
