The Fifth Annual Global Citizen Festival will harness actions from Global Citizens to hold world leaders accountable to the progress made toward achieving the Global Goals. The Festival has partnered with organizations such as GAVI, The Global Fund, GPE, ONE, Save the Children, UN Foundation, UNICEF, World Vision, and others.
The national preschool preparation program, funded by GPE in Kyrgyzstan is taught to students through interactive games and puzzles. The program is conducted in classrooms that have been refurbished and supplied with furniture, visual aids, methodological materials, toys, books and games.
During the Girls' Education Forum in London, DfiD announced £100m to help 175,000 of the world's poorest girls get an education. During this forum, Julia Gillard emphasized the need of investing in girls and women for the development of families, communities and countries.
This event organized on the sidelines of the first High-Level Political Forum, brought together the Prime Minister of Norway, the President of the UN Economic and Social Council Ambassador and high-ranking representatives from government, UN agencies and the Global Partnership for Education to discuss strategies to advance the Education 2030 Agenda.
