Sindh government in Pakistan recorded biometrics for 95% of its education workforce

With support from GPE to hire 225 monitors and evaluators, the Sindh government in Pakistan has announced the completion of biometric mapping of 95% of its education workforce. Officials said over 185,000 teachers and administrators have been verified and the data has been integrated into the ministry's management system to align attendance, salaries and resource allocation. They also added that the government has set aside the largest chunk of its current budget for various improvements in the education sector for fiscal year 2016-17.
