Global and Regional Activities (GRA) Program

GRA is a new program, which will provide support for global and regional initiatives and programs that address the Global Partnership for Education thematic areas. GRA will be aligned with other activities of the Global Partnership for Education and will seek to leverage rather than duplicate efforts and areas of expertise of other Global Partnership partners. During the Board of Director’s meeting in November 2010, in Madrid, the following three thematic areas for the GRA program cycle 1 (2011-2013), were approved: Learning outcomes, Out of school children and Education financing.

A stakeholder consultation has been launched this month with over 30 Global Partnership for Education constituency representatives. The consultation will help finalize outputs and outcomes for potential GRA-funded activities. Based on the outcomes of the stakeholder consultation, the Global Partnership for Education Secretariat will develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for specific GRA programmatic activities in each thematic area.

Papers are available for comment from other interested groups. If you are part of an organization, please check that your constituency is not already being covered and please coordinate your response accordingly.
