Talia Miranda

Talia Miranda is a Senior Education Specialist within the Country Engagement and Policy team of the GPE Secretariat, with over 13 years of experience in the education sector. She joined GPE in 2014 to work on the quality of education sector plans, has supported sector planning processes in a portfolio of countries and as Country Lead for two West African countries. Prior to GPE, Talia worked in a research organization in South Africa where she supported the implementation of the National Education Development Plan and conducted research and evaluation to improve student learning. Her work included a range of projects with a specific focus on teacher training, early grade literacy, school leadership, district support, learning assessments, and learning materials. Talia also has experience in curriculum development and e-learning. She started her career as a teacher in rural Latin America, and has also taught and been the principal of a small high school in the United States. She is originally from Peru and holds a Master’s degree in Language and Literacy from Harvard University.
