Chikezie is a social development practitioner and social policy analyst, with extensive management, policy and advocacy experience. He has worked at a senior level for international non-governmental development organisations for the past 16 years, most recently as Director and Head of the African Union Liaison Office for Plan International. Prior to moving to civil society organisations such as ActionAid International; the Commonwealth Education Fund and and Save the Children, Chikezie spent nine years in Nigerian public service.

As Global Coordinator for the Global Campaign for Education, Chikezie leads the Secretariat to ensure it is delivering GCE’s commitments on international advocacy, as well its commitments to funders and, particularly, the critical work of the Civil Society Education Fund. He is currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
