To celebrate Earth Day we created an infographic highlighting the strong links between education and environmental awareness and impact

Taking action to protect the planet to curb the effects of climate change and consume responsibly is not always a natural instinct. People need to be taught about the environmental challenges the world is facing and about their effect on them.

This is just one simple, straightforward connection between education and our planet.

The Sustainable Development Agenda is holistic, based on the principle that real progress towards one of the 17 goals depends upon progress in the others.

We think the links between the education goal (SDG 4) and the goals to take action to curb climate change, protect life on land and in the water are particular strong (SDGs 7, 12, 13, 14, 15).

So to celebrate Earth Day, we are highlighting 5 ways education can help save the planet.
