Nesmy Manigat, Minister of education and vocational training of Haiti, was recently appointed chair of the GPE Board Committee on governance, ethics, risk and finance (GERF).  In this role, he will lead the committee’s efforts to mobilize additional resources to finance education in partner countries, among other activities.

It is estimated that $39 billion per year is needed from external funding sources to ensure that every child gets a quality pre-primary, primary and secondary education by 2030.

I know that the Haitian education is very good. Compared to American high-school, Haitian students have more general knowledge, are more capable and respectful.
Also universities know that a gifted Haitian high-school graduate has far better education than an American even having same GPA.
