On April 6-7, GPE, UNICEF, and the World Bank are hosting a conference in Washington, D.C. on The Role of Education in Building Social Cohesion and Sustainable Peace.

During the event, key education and peacebuilding thought leaders, practitioners, and researchers will share and discuss latest evidence from the Learning for Peace program.

Presentations will cover topics ranging from education policy for peacebuilding to the links between education inequality and the likelihood of violent conflict to the importance of risk-informed education sector plans. Alice Albright, GPE's Chief Executive Officer, will open the conference.

The conference program and webcast information can be found here.
