This document discusses processes related to GPE 2020. However core elements of how GPE works remain relevant, such as the role of local education groups and other key actors, the planning cycle, alignment and harmonization. In line with the new strategy and operating model, GPE 2025, the new grant processes will be revised in the first half of 2021.This guide details recommended processes for education sector planning in partner countries and for GPE grants.
The guide primarily targets local education group members, including developing country partners, development partners and civil society organizations. The document may be particularly useful for coordinating agencies and grant agents.
Part 1 is general and explains how GPE works at the country level, including introducing the various grants.
Part 2 provides a detailed summary of GPE’s recommended sector and grants processes.
