March 13, 2018 |

This note prepared by the World Bank and funded by the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation and the Global Partnership for Education, documents global trends in legal protection for women against violence and sexual harassment at home and in public spaces (like schools or work places). The analysis was conducted for 141 countries, which account for more than 95% of the population of adult women in the world. Data collected covered the existence and scope of laws on domestic violence, economic violence and sexual harassment.
