The European Development Days (EDD), Europe's leading forum on international cooperation and development, take place in Brussels from June 5-6, 2018. EDD 2018 will focus on gender equality and the empowerment and engagement of women and girls in sustainable development.

On June 5, AFD, GPE and UNICEF will host a panel entitled "Advancing gender equality in and through education: The way forward" to identify best practices, discuss the importance of a gender equality strategy, raise awareness of the importance of girls' education in countries affected by crisis, formulate recommendations and propose strategies to address gender inequalities in education.
