This event will showcase Deaf Child Worldwide’s latest report looking at the experiences of deaf children in some of the world’s poorest communities, and will bring together academics and policy makers who work with deaf and disabled children in low income countries.

It will also feature a panel discussion with practitioners from South Asia and East Africa who will shine a spotlight on the challenges many deaf children face and how to build programs that break those barriers.

Participants:

  • Joanna Clark, Director of Deaf Child Worldwide
  • Penny Innes, Head of the Disability Inclusion Team, Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, UK
