The meetings aim to improve consultations, communication and coordination within and between developing country partner constituencies, in order to enable the presentation of a more inclusive position at GPE Board and Committee meetings. They improve partner countries’ engagement with GPE governance processes. They also are an important way to enhance the work of the partnership as a whole, including peer-to-peer exchange and learning.

The regional constituency meeting for Latin America and the Caribbean will focus on:

  • consultations on key topics to be discussed in the upcoming Board committee meetings in April, particularly focused on the Strategic Plan
  • strengthened communication with the Secretariat and better understanding of GPE processes and strategies
  • peer-to-peer learning, experience sharing and better understanding of country context.
