Alice Albright, CEO of Global Partnership for Education, will speak at the launch event of Together to #ENDviolence Solutions Summit. This summit series from End Violence Against Children aims to inspire the community and catalyze the political and financial commitments needed to end violence against children at home, at school, online and within communities.
COVID-19 has increased children’s risk of violence in every country and community. As a result of the pandemic, 85 million more girls and boys may be exposed to physical, sexual and emotional violence.
COVID-19 has also placed new pressures on both national budgets and international donors, jeopardizing already limited investments to end violence against children, along with years of progress. Without urgent, unified action, we could lose a generation of children to the lifelong effects of violence.
Join this event for an opportunity to hear from national and global leaders, including senior government ministers, royalty, heads of United Nations agencies and civil society organizations, CEOs from the private sector, and children themselves.
The event will mark the beginning of a multi-year effort in the Decade of Action.
