Kyoko has been working at the GPE secretariat since 2017. She is one of the authors of GPE Results Report 2018 and 2019. Prior to joining GPE, she worked with ministries of Education in sub-Saharan Africa in teacher training projects, as a part of technical cooperation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency. In that capacity, she helped design national teacher training program on new curriculum in Rwanda, supported operationalization of new teacher policy in Ghana and conducted a survey on teacher training colleges in Mozambique. She also worked for the International Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan on Japanese ODA to education and development effectiveness agenda. She holds an MA in Education and Development from University of East Anglia, UK.
