Anita Nyanjong is the co-Director of the Advocacy CSO Forum to the Africa Union Committee on the Rights and Welfare of the Child. In this position, she heads the secretariat of the network of child rights organizations in Eastern Africa towards advocacy on the implementation of the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child. Anita is also a lawyer with extensive experience in human rights advocacy, research and governance. Since 2010, Anita’s work has focused on Africa regional judicial systems strengthening, policy and legal advocacy towards improving the situation of women and girls and research on strategic impact litigation with the Open Society Justice Initiative.
