August 2017 - The Global Partnership for Education Secretariat approved the following grant:

US$200,000 for Comoros to develop a new education program

Description: The program development grant will support the preparation of Comoros' education sector program implementation grant (ESPIG) application.

The new program will support the implementation of the new transitional education plan 2017-2020. The program will be implemented through the collaboration between UNICEF, a key partner of the Global Partnership for Education, as grant agent and the Government of Comoros.

The French Cooperation has been nominated by the local education group to serve as coordinating agency in Comoros.
