2017 program development grant for Madagascar

April 2017 - The Global Partnership for Education Secretariat approved the following grant:

US$336,420 for Madagascar to support the development of the application for the education sector program implementation grant (ESPIG)

Description: The program development grant will support Madagascar to develop the application for the ESPIG. This includes (among others) the preparation of the activities falling under each component of the program, the development of a monitoring and evaluation system and a fiduciary evaluation mechanism, as well as conducting consultations to ensure consensus on the program.

The grant will finance the collaboration between the World Bank, a key partner of the Global Partnership for Education and the Government of Madagascar. The World Bank has been nominated by the local education group to manage the grant on behalf of the Government of Madagascar.
