Cambodia receives multi-million dollar grant from GPE to improve quality of education

With a US$20.6 million in grant approved by GPE, Cambodia is launching an initiative to improve the quality of primary education, especially in grades 1, 2 and 3. The ministry of education and its partners are focusing on 40 districts in nine provinces with high student dropout rate.

Cambodia’s education system has made steady and encouraging progress in recent years, and enrollment in early childhood education across the country grew exponentially between 2005 and 2015.
