Lome, October 29, 2010. The government of Togo and the World Bank— in its role as trustee of the main trust fund of the Fast Track Initiative -- signed today in Togo the FTI - Education for All grant agreement "for the financing of the Education and Institutional Strengthening Project (Projet Education et Renforcement Institutionnel PERI). The signing ceremony follows the approval by the EFA FTI Finance Committee of a $45 million grant (about 22.5 billion CFA francs) on May 7, 2010 in Washington, DC. The grant will support the implementation of the education sector plan of Togo.
