Ethiopia: The power of education building social cohesion, sustainable peace

According to the joint report by GPE, UNICEF, and the World Bank, it is estimated that half of the world's poor children are out-of-school and they will be forced to live in fragile and conflict-affected contexts by 2018.

A three-day Pan-African Symposium on Education, Resilience and Social Cohesion was held in Ethiopia to emphasize the potential of education as a social service to reduce violent conflict and contribute to social cohesion and sustainable peace.
