Government in Kenya distributed 60 million textbooks

The Government in Kenya, with support from partners including GPE, distributed 60 million textbooks in public primary and secondary schools to achieve its 1:1 textbook per student ratio goal. 

The Secretary for Basic Education made the announcement during a meeting with an official delegation from Zambia on a visit to learn how Kenya is ensuring effective learning and teaching of math and science in the classroom, including capacity building for teachers.
