GPE hails Ireland for its commitment to education in developing countries

During a visit of the Global Partnership for Education's Board of Directors to Dublin, CEO Alice Albright praised Ireland’s recent commitment to raise its foreign assistance contributions. Ireland is the only partner out of all GPE donor countries that pledged more money than was requested.   

This year, GPE chose Ireland as the venue for its annual meeting in recognition of the role which education has played in Ireland’s economic and social development.
