U.S. Congress enacts bill to expand global access to education
Congresswoman Nita Lowey, a Ranking Member on the U.S. House Appropriations Committee, held an event on Capitol Hill to celebrate the recent enactment of the Reinforcing Education Accountability in Development (READ) Act. It is a bipartisan legislation introduced to expand access to education for the world's most vulnerable children. In her remarks, she praised many organizations, including the Global Partnership for Education, for their work to increase access to education.
