The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed January 24 as International Day of Education in celebration of the role of education for peace and development.

To celebrate the International Day of Education, a global event is co-organized by UNESCO, the Global Partnership for Education and the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies under the theme: Recover and revitalize education for the COVID-19 generation.
