Martha Muhwezi is the Acting Executive Director at the FAWE Regional Secretariat. She is the Head of Programs at FAWE Africa and has previously worked with FAWE Uganda and Child Fund International. Martha is a development specialist with more than 15 years of experience in the civil society sector nationally, regionally and internationally. Her areas of expertise include organization management and program coordination with practical experience in program management: design, planning and implementation of varied programs, gender mainstreaming, gender budgeting and audit, governance, strategic planning, training and facilitation, advocacy, budgeting and budget control, participatory methodologies and approaches as well as monitoring and evaluation. Martha holds a Master’s degree in Gender and Women Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Makerere University, Kampala Uganda. She is currently a PhD student with Center for Women Studies, University of Nairobi.
