Shunsuke engages in a range of analytical and operational work to strengthen the knowledge base on how to improve learning in the classrooms and beyond. Prior to joining JICA, Shunsuke worked for UN and NGOs in Somaliland, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka where he developed and managed education programmes in support of national governments to strengthen education systems and service delivery. Shunsuke holds an Ed.M. in Education Policy and an M.A. in Development Studies.
