Ines Boumaiza

Inès is an Education Specialist in the Country Support Team at the GPE Secretariat, supporting activities in Francophone sub-Saharan African countries. She has been working at the GPE Secretariat since 2017.

Prior to joining GPE, Inès worked as a Researcher and an Associate Project Officer at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris where she mainly analyzed and monitored education plans and policies. In that framework, she contributed to various Education Policy Reviews carried out by UNESCO and coordinated large-scale international projects, programs and events dealing with gender, education policies and ICT in education. She also conducted several researches on learning assessment, education privatization, gender equality and learning systems in Latin America and the Caribbean, sub-Saharan Africa and central Asia, in the light of Education 2030.

Before working at UNESCO HQs and as part of her initial background, Inès has worked as a French teacher in France and in the United States. She also taught literacy and professional training for refugees and Sub-Saharan African women based in France, both in training centers and NGOs.
