Ahead of the parliamentary budget negotiations on the federal budget for 2022, GPE’s Youth Leaders organized a stunt outside parliament on April 28, 2022 to mobilize support from politicians, civil society, and other influencers to advocate towards the German government to step up their engagement for education worldwide and increase their funding commitments to GPE.

During the live stunt, the Youth Leaders held many fruitful conversations with members of parliament and delivered powerful speeches on the urgency to invest in education in light of the largest education crisis in modern history.

Check out the video below, to get some impressions of the day:

Their live stunt was very well received, and the Youth Leaders were able to collect many signatures from parliamentarians, civil society representatives, and other influencers to their call to action, which they personally delivered to the Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr. Bärbel Kofler, in form of a giant printed letter.
