GPE Pre-Board Constituency Meeting. Rest of the World
The pre-Board constituency meeting for all non-African developing country partners ("rest of the world") aims to improve consultations, communication and coordination within and between the constituencies, in order to strengthen their operations, enable the presentation of a more inclusive position at GPE Board meetings, and improve respective constituency engagement with GPE governance processes and the work of the partnership as a whole. The meeting also serves as a platform for South-South knowledge sharing and learning to contribute to the effectiveness of the education sector in these countries. The meeting's objectives are to:
- Build and strengthen existing relations among developing country partners, share best practices and promote South-South collaboration and exchange to strengthen the education sector
- Discuss and reach a consensual position on all the decisions and policies that will be discussed at the next GPE Board of Directors meeting (Washington, DC, December 15-16, 2014)
- Strengthen technical and organizational capacity of participants to better engage in the activities of the Board and its technical committees
- Share experiences, particularly with regard to the implementation of the new GPE funding model and other innovations occurring within the education sector at country level
- Finalize a constituency communication and action plan.
