February 16, 2017 - The Global Partnership for Education Secretariat approved the following grant:

US$166,194 for Somaliland to develop a new education program

Description: The program development grant will support Somaliland’s preparation of a new implementation grant request to GPE.

The program will finance the collaboration between Save the Children, a key partner of the Global Partnership for Education, and the Government of Somaliland. Save the Children has been nominated by the local education group to manage the grant on behalf of the Government of Somaliland.
