Caroline Pearce

Caroline Pearce is Global Coordinator of the Global Campaign for Education (GCE). GCE is a network of national, regional and international member organisations and coalitions, present in more than 100 countries. GCE promotes education as a basic human right, and mobilises the public to hold governments accountable for commitments to provide free, high quality public education for all.

Caroline previously worked for Oxfam in Washington DC and in West Africa, where she coordinated research, advocacy and campaigning related to education, health, water and development finance. Caroline also worked as Senior Campaigns and Policy Adviser for the Jubilee Debt Campaign, and previously worked in campaigning and advocacy related to women’s rights and tribal peoples’ rights. She has an undergraduate degree from Oxford University, and a masters degree in public administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. She is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
