Developing CountriesThe Global Partnership for Education empowers developing countries to lead the development and implementation of their own education strategies and policies. ![]() Our founding principles emphasize country ownership and we believe that education results can be achieved when governments of developing country partners take the lead in developing their own education strategies based on their national priorities. Our role is merely to facilitate access to financial and technical support so that governments of developing country partners can elaborate quality education programs and the best strategies to get all their children into school and learning. Developing country partners are therefore strongly represented on the Global Partnership Board of Directors with 6 of the 19 seats assigned to their constituents (3 representing African and 3 representing non-African countries). At the country level, they lead the implementation and monitoring of education plans in consultation with civil society organizations, private sector and donors. Our Developing Country Partners |
