We’re excited to announce that the new GPE website is now live! It includes improvements on content organization, making it easier for you to find the information and resources you need.

The website’s menu and navigation have been redesigned and a new mapping system to boost interactivity is now available. Complementing these improvements are smaller but impactful changes - all to deliver an intuitive user experience.

The new update simplifies how users navigate and use the website, offering well-organized, well-structured content.

With an average of 80,000 visitors per month, the website reflects GPE’s role as one of the most respected and influential voices on global education, and a primary driver of progress toward SDG 4.

Better user experience

The most important update has been the change of the website information architecture - how content is structured and labelled - to better reflect GPE’s evolution and shift in priorities. By designing an intuitive architecture, visitors can now navigate the website easily and find content they are looking for faster.

With a revamped architecture also comes a new menu and navigation. The navigation has been simplified with a new right-hand menu that helps users quickly scan the content of a particular page and go directly where they need to. Dropdown menus are now available for both mobile and desktop versions, offering a seamless experience.

New content

When updating the information architecture, we also realized that we needed to provide additional content to explain GPE’s work in some new key areas. The following new webpages are now available:

New visualizations

The new interactive map of results stories helps users to discover GPE’s impact around the globe. Browsing among blogs, slideshows and videos, users can access stories of how GPE is helping partner countries strengthen their education systems. The map is mobile-friendly, making it easily accessible and viewed on any smartphone or tablet.

New look

Finally, the design of the website - starting with the homepage - has been updated to offer a clean, modern look while giving users the opportunity to better explore GPE’s areas of work.

We built the new GPE website with our users in mind. To gain a deeper understanding of our audiences, we conducted user testing with several partners and launched an online survey to gather additional feedback.

The findings derived from this research gave us valuable insights, which were incorporated into the design of the new site.

We hope you enjoy navigating the new website. We welcome your comments and feedback.
