Korea Becomes 22nd Donor to Global Partnership for Education

In New York this week, the President of the Republic of Korea, Park Geun-hye, announced that her country is joining the Global Partnership for Education, and made a first financial commitment to the GPE Fund.

President Park Geun-hye said: “Offering educational help in conflict zones or vulnerable countries is a must if children are to have hopes and dreams. Korea plans to contribute US$5 million to the Global Partnership for Education to support such causes.”
