We are delighted to share with you that the ‘Reading Changed My Life’ photo and video contest has already received nearly 300 entries from over 50 countries worldwide! We are very excited that so many of you from so many different regions of the world have shared your stories on how reading changed your life or the life of someone you know. Out of these entries, only 11 were videos. This means your chances of winning cool prizes such as a Canon Camcorder or an e-reader are huge if you submit a video. So get your video camera ready and start recording your story. It can be as simple as an interview with your teacher or your parents. But remember that videos cannot be longer than 60 seconds and submitted in one of the following video formats: AVI, MOV, WMV, MP4, MPEG, FLV, 3GP, and 3G2. Also, this week we welcomed our 93rd co-sponsor! The Global Partnership is thankful to all organizations that have joined this initiative. Everyone is working hard promoting the contest and encouraging individuals to participate – which is fantastic! As you can see, not many entries were received from this region, so we really want to encourage you to share your story so that Africa can have a more prominent voice in this contest. If entries from your country were already submitted, help to grow the number and send your photo or video because we want to hear from YOU too! Remember the contest closes on November 7th, which is less than a month away!
