The Global Partnership for Education, along with 88 co-sponsors, launched the Reading Changed My Life Photo and Video Contest on September 7th, 2012. Today we are in full swing, celebrating 100 submissions from 36 different countries! Our goal is to expand and continue to share compelling photos and thought-provoking videos to show the world how literacy and education can change someone’s life. But we need your help! Each week we will update you on the contest and feature different regions of the world, highlighting those regional entries. This week we’re featuring the Americas. Check if someone from your country has submitted an entry. If not, start uploading and be the first! And remember, even if we’ve received a submission from your country, we still want to hear how reading changed YOUR life or the life of someone you know. There are 3 ways to enter, 1. Go to our competition website, and click “Enter Now” 2. Connect with us through Facebook using our Facebook app. 3. OR by tweeting your entry to @GPforEducation with hashtag #readingcontest and include your name, your country and how reading changed your life. So bring your story to life today by submitting a photo or video. Oh, and did we mention there are spectacular prizes to win? The top 5 photos and 5 videos selected by public voting will win a Kindle 3G and be eligible for the grand prizes – a Coolpix Camera from Nikon and a Canon Camcorder!
