2017 program development grant for Bhutan

December 2017 – The Global Partnership for Education Secretariat approved the following grant:

US$73,726 for Bhutan to develop a new education program

Description: The program development grant will support the preparation of a new education sector program implementation grant (ESPIG).

The new program will support the implementation of the Bhutan Education Blueprint (2014-2024), aligned in the country’s Vision 2020 strategy. The program will be implemented through the collaboration between Save the Children, a key partner of the Global Partnership for Education, as grant agent and the Government of Bhutan.

UNICEF has been nominated by the local education group to serve as coordinating agency in Bhutan.
