The Global Partnership for Education (GPE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Geeta Rao Gupta, Deputy Executive Director at UNICEF, as Interim Chair of GPE’s Board of Directors. The appointment is effective as of August 15, 2013.

Ms. Rao Gupta will serve as Interim Chair until a successor is approved by the Board. It is expected that the Board of Directors will approve a new Chair in its next meeting scheduled for November 2013.
