Kenya disbursed Sh1 billion to schools to improve mathematics teaching

Kenya is allocating more than Sh1 billion, from the grant by the Global Partnership for Education, to 3,654 primary schools to improve the teaching of mathematics for students in grades 1 and 2. The money is being used to distribute math books and train teachers. The fund, to which the government is contributing, is part of a larger Sh8.8 billion campaign to improve math competencies for early grade students.
