The Board of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) is seeking to appoint a new vice chair of its Board for a three-year term starting September 15, 2024.
For 20 years, GPE has been financing and supporting lasting change in education so that countries can capitalize on the opportunities of the 21st century. GPE focuses on improving education at a systems level to leverage the profound transformations required to deliver at least one year of preschool and 12 years of quality education for every girl and boy. GPE does this through a twofold approach: strengthening education systems and leveraging domestic and international finance to accelerate and sustain progress.
The Board of GPE embodies the partnership between governments, international organizations, civil society – including youth and teacher organizations – the private sector, and private foundations to transform education systems. The vice chair will bring experience with governance and an understanding of best practices in the context of Board operations.
GPE actively seeks dynamic, creative, and visionary leaders from all over the world. It sees diversity as a strength and will extend its outreach in this effort as widely as possible.
The closing date for applications is April 3rd, 2024.
GPE has retained Russell Reynolds Associates to assist with this appointment. For further information on the position and additional details on qualifications, requirements please view the position specification.
