Aid to education

Qatar’s international aid program focuses on poverty reduction, through employment creation and infrastructure projects, improve health and education as well as better management of the environment. Aid efforts are mainly deployed in the Arab world, most notably in the humanitarian crises in Syria and Gaza but also in many countries within Africa and Asia.

Qatar aims to promote dialogue through soft power diplomacy initiatives in regional and international affairs, hoping to consolidate peace and stability, in addition to good relations with neighboring countries and strategic alliances with major powers.

Qatar's 2030 Vision highlights Education as a key principle for the country and its development as a hub for the provision of quality education. This key objective has been carried over to its education development policy which has the key goal of setting Qatar as a leader in the provision of access to quality basic education and scholarships in developing countries.

The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) budget is mainly channeled through local education foundations and charities such as Education Above All (EAA) and Qatar Charity with a willingness to work with external implementation organizations.
