Picture of the Week

“Reading is a bridge to understanding the world. Reading gives this girl and others the opportunity to get to know the world better, to get a deeper understanding of it, and maybe even change it. I took this picture in a small village in the North of Madagascar.”

This picture and essay was submitted to the 2012 Reading Changed My Life Contest by Edoardo Mignano from Germany.

Take a look at some of the nearly 1,000 photos and videos submitted to the Reading Changed My Life Photo and Video Contest and then get involved in helping children learn and grow.
